šµļøāāļø The Real Avengers ā Jewish Nazi Hunters
After World War II, a group of Holocaust survivors known as Nakam (ārevengeā in Hebrew) ā also called The Avengers ā set out to punish Nazi war criminals who had escaped justice. Led by Abba Kovner, they aimed to avenge the six million Jews killed in the Holocaust.
In 1946, they infiltrated a German POW camp near Nuremberg and poisoned the bread of over 2,000 SS prisoners. While mass death was not confirmed, many fell seriously ill. Though their more ambitious plot to poison city water supplies was never executed, their actions remain a chilling and powerful response to unimaginable horror.
